IP address assigned to 5550 console TKB (keypad) can be assigned statically via DHCP reservation. One cannot hardcode IP address on TKB due to the fact that there is no display prompt on TKB to navigate IP address menu.

To prevent IP address from changing during operation, Mitel recommends to reserve static IP address either through DHCP reservation via external DHCP server or within the DHCP static IP form in the 3300 ICP.

Helpful tips:

a:    Make sure that MAC address of TKP entered correctly in DHCP reservation with external DHCP server or in 3300 DHCP static IP form
b:    Mitel recommends that one should statically hardcode IP address to the NIC of 5550 console PC as well.
c:    For internal DHCP, the static IP address cannot be in the scope of IP range in 3300 DHCP IP address Range
